For Charter Review Commissioner

WHY I’M RUNNING

“Clark County is a special place to live, work, and play, and has the potential to be even better in the years ahead! The charter review process gives us a fantastic opportunity, not just to make tweaks to our county’s “constitution”, but also to build and strengthen the voice of folks who live here.

This Commission is a part-time role alongside the work I’m already doing at the Port — I’m not leaving! I’m running to use my practical experience in local government and public outreach to connect with our community early and often.

I’m asking for your vote to build a charter review process around listening to the community. Our community.”

What is the Charter Review Commission?

In 2014, Clark County adopted a Home Rule Charter that functions as a “constitution” for Clark County, Washington. Every 5 years, each County Council district elects three Charter Review Commissioners to recommend adjustments. Voters then vote to approve or decline each recommendation.
